Serves me right!

Moral of the story is... never tell your trainer that you are pissed off and having a sh#t day... he will only make you run faster... and train harder!!! Dammmmmnn!!!!

Sydney Harbour at its best!

Spent the day with friends doing high tea at the Park Hyatt. What an amazing view! We let the lunch drag onto evening... as you can see from my photos :)

Medieval Fayre

Had a great day out yesterday at the annual Medieval Fayre in a town near us. Was fun to see.

To be sure, to be sure, to be sure...

Met colleagues for a drink tonight at PJ Gallaghers Irish Pub. Was such a nice night outside under the stars, drinking vodka and lemonade (ONLY ONE!) and chatting away. Should do it more often on a Friday night... although, there is also something to be said for getting home, having a shower, ordering take away and having a lazy night in. Damn I'm getting old! lol
The strangest thing happened tonight... When I returned to my car, the below note was taped to the drivers side window of my car. Apparently, (if I am to believe it to be true) I have a secret admirer. Hmmmm... As I have no intention of calling the listed number... I guess I'm forever going to be left wondering. How funny.

My life over the past few months...

Here are a collection of photos from some experiences over the past few months. Have gotten into the habit of laying out in my back yard on a sunny day reading magazines. Sooo relaxing... A day in town with Deb, Mel and her boys around Darling Harbour Sydney. Got to love the city!
The typical Aussie lunch... so they say!
Then back home to chill on our back verandah over drinks and nibbles.

Another day we celebrated my sister-in-laws birthday. We always take turns choosing where we want to go for our birthdays and she chose Lebanese! I LOVE HER! lol Unfortunately, she adores raw mince with heaps of garlic. Gave it a try but didnt quite get the fascination. I was more sold on the Fatoush salad, homous and tabouli. mmm

Had a great day out shopping and doing high tea with my mum when she was in town.

Market shopping with Deb at Rozelle. Got to love a bargain!

A day in town with Brooke.

... visiting the Art Gallery...

And our new favourite city cafe by Myers.

Then out again with Deb for sushi. How can something so healthy be soooo delicious? hmmm
I love the sushi train... toot toot! lol

Then a day out with Kirsty visiting the Art Express at the Armoury at Homebush by the river. Saw these adorable scooters and just had to take a photo.

Of course this is only some of what I did... but only showing the things I have photos of. Stay tuned for more "riveting" adventures in the life of... TK lol

The 80's are back!

My friends and I went to this fantastic expo a few months back for memorabilia from the 1980's. So much fun reminiscing about old times, old loves, music, toys and daggy clothes. My friends, Melissa, Deb and I were in our element. Unfortunately for Melissa, her two young boys didnt quite get what all the fuss was about. lol Funny thing was, I had a work conference at the same venue a month or so later so was able to see the exhibition again for free. So excited was I, that I spend my entire lunch break playing pacman! lol

Queensland

Was away for a few days at a work conference at the Gold Coast, Queensland (north-east Australia). Conference was ok, but highlight was spending time with my brother and his family who live there, as well as my sister and family who drove down to meet us and my mum because it was mothers day. Some of us shared an apartment which enabled us to be within walking distance of most attractions. Was noisy (with many kids) but also lots of fun.

New things

Been at my garden again. New plants, new windchime and lantern.

40th Birthday Year

Well I can run but I cant hide from the fact that this year I'm turning the big 40. Sounds rather scary.... Will I suddenly develop a full head of grey hair? Will my joints start aching? Will I have to cut my hair short and perm it like all the OTHER nanna's out there? So many unanswered questions... hmmm Unfortunately for me, I seem to pre-date all my close companions by a year so I am the lucky sucker who has to face this milestone alone. Fortunately, despite my rant, I don't really get phased by numbers... cause in the end youre only as old as you feel... So happy 39th it is! lol

I have friends and family nagging me already regarding what I am planning for September... Will I go interstate with friends? Rent out a small independent theatre for a private movie screening and cocktail party? hire a houseboat? fly overseas? All yet to be decided. One thing i am excited about is that after all these years, I have finally decided what tattoo Im going to get. I always knew I wanted one for my 40th birthday, just didnt know what. But now I do! woo hoo. Stay tuned for details and photos nearer the time... no hints! :)

For now its business as usual.... work, work and a little play too. September will come soon enough... and Im in no rush.... its fun being 21 :))

Silly Billy

I have a confession (one that won't come as any surprise to my husband...).... I'm a complete clutz!

Urban dictionary: "A clutz is......someone who is a hazard to be around... someone who trips over shoes constantly, breaks things they touch. Should not be allowed around heavy machinery or anything that might put other people's lives in danger"

Last week I was sorting washing in the bedroom and flicked the towel in the air only to have my hand whacked by the ceiling fan which, to my luck, was running on low - OUCH!. I'm also pretty darn certain that our glasswear and dinner set started as an 8 place setting. Hoping now that we dont have more than two visitors at a time! lol The funniest thing I remember was one night my husband heard me calling his name from another room so came running only to find me face first on the carpet, having tripped over the power cords which in turn brought a large basket of posters, paperwork and bricabrac toppling over me. I grazed my legs with a carpet burn and my husband found it hilarious!

We live in a two story house, and its only a matter of time before I trip on the stairs (refer photo below). Am sure one day that will be me!... lol... At least I can laugh :)
