Long Weekend...

Dont you just love it when the government decides they are gonna add an extra day to the weekend and make it a public holiday! Woo Hoo! Quite bizarre that this holiday is in honour of the Queen's birthday (which incidentally is NOT the actual date of her birthday. NZ celebrated it last week and I dont think the UK public take a day off at all! lol). So what does one do on a long weekend? Well Ive been shopping (who needs a reason), hairdressers, caught up with friends for coffee and others for dinner, sorting stuff around the house, watching DVDs and its only half way through! Unfortunately still have to do more of that boring stuff like prepare for a work presentation this Friday. Did do something exciting tho. Booked to go for a weekend away to Melbourne with an old uni friend. She's a bit of a groupie for a UK band who she knows who are touring in July, so I agreed to join her for some fun (after all, not long before I become a responsible home owner who is counting her pennies!).
Will leave you with a photo from my SL adventure this week. Was drag racing a friend and leaving them for dead on the racetrack when SOMEHOW I ended up upside down underwater unable to move! Not the impressive finish I was after! lol
