Truth be told, I am a planner... a goal orientated person. I enjoy making lists and get great satisfaction in being able to cross off things Ive achieved. So its surprising really that Ive delayed setting these goals. One possible reason for not having rushed it this year is that it can be frustrating to NOT have completed set goals. There are some goals that have been reappearing over the past couple of years, namely; to write a book and to learn to play my dusty acoustic guitar! lol... Having said that, last year was in fact a milestone year for me, in that I travelled the world for the first time in 10 years and crammed in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles and my dream holiday to Italy and Paris. We also bought our first house which was long in the planning and my career has been going from strength to strength. All in all a fantastic year!
So here is my initial attempt to jot down some things I want to have achieved by the time I come to celebrate January 2010 (omg thats a scary date... sounds almost like a space age oddessy).
- Learn to play the guitar in my room that has not seen the light of day since it was purchased 3 years ago. (in fact just took it out of its case for the above photo! lol)
- Purchase a digital SLR camera and do a formal photography course so I can continue to explore my passion for macro photography.
- Wear less black (except in SL lol)
- Develop more patience.... after all, apparently its a virtue! lol
- Learn to speak italian properly! Better late than never! lol
- Procrastinate less... DAMN IT!... will this goal NEVER leave my list? lol
Of course there are going to be other goals that I want to achieve, but Im not gonna make a difinitive list, cause then you will be able to hold me to it... and we cant have that... damn accountability crap! lol. Am happy for you to ask about my guitar playing though.... cause just before I respond to your question, I will grab the guitar, strum one fret, and then tell you with a twinge of self-delusion that its been going well! lol!
